Welcome to the HPJRA news!

Double J saddles and buckles will be given for the 2012 year end event winners, all around and finals champions!  Gist buckles will be given to the 19 & Under Year End All Around Winners!

I have updated the rulebook and membership tabs, to the left, with the 2012 information.  Click on  2012 Rulebook changes to view all the changes for the 2012 rodeo season!

Click on Event Order to see the new order of events for 2012.

The board is also working on having a jackpot team roping after one of the Saturday rodeos.  One member of the team will have to be a HPJRA member.  I will post more information as it develops.  The board is also working on some jackpots during the finals.  Again, I will pass along information as it becomes available.

The 19 & Under Shootout is going to be very exciting!  Along with the Added Money, there will be Added Competition!!  This will be good for the contestants AND it will be good watching for everyone else!  Click on the link on the home page to view all the details.  You can also click  SHOOTOUT ON THE PLAINS to get more information.

HPJRA will have two cake auctions this year!  One will be at Levelland in April and one will be at Andrews in June.  The auctions were a lot of fun and raised serious funds for the year end awards in 2011.  I can hardly wait to see what is cookin in the kitchen for 2012!

There are a lot of new and exciting things for the 2012 rodeo season, and I know you all will want to be front and center!

HPJRA has a new rodeo secretary and her name is Tara Griggs!  I will be turning over all the rodeo information to her, sometime in December.  All the HPJRA contact information will remain the same.  She is excited about the new job, and you all will like working with her!  

I will still be taking care of the ticket sales, jacket information and all the behind the scenes activities.  Be sure and note my new contact information, listed at the bottom of this page, so we can stay in touch. 

 And...I have put a link to facebook to try to help everyone stay in touch and up to date.  I'm not good at the facebook thing yet, but I'm working on it.
